What is Tabang sa Dunong?
Tabang sa Dunong is an organization whose main advocacy is to help 170 (now 167) children of Albay with their academic progression (from grade 1 to grade 12) and provide improvements to their families' livelihood.
The aforementioned support given to these children includes giving them school supplies, finding volunteer teachers, and providing modules that can aid their studies.
Moreover, they reward the top-notchers with piglets that they can raise and make a living out of.
The organization also teaches the parents how to avoid being deceived by other people by teaching them arithmetic and other helpful concepts.

Tabang sa Dunong Scholars was founded by Mrs. Carolyn Thor and two of her closest friends, Sofia DeGuzman and Honey Rerugal in the year 2015. The three were friends that met while doing volunteer work. They decided to help the children in Bicol, Albay due to having met an old acquaintance who questioned why she has been helping other places but not her hometown. Thus, she decided along with her friends to provide opportunities to the children in 6 communities that can be found in Bicol, Albay. Those opportunities include monetary rewards, school supplies, life lessons, and safety health hazards, especially amidst the pandemic. They also chose to coordinate with the local government and the Department of Education to further ensure the livelihood of the children who they chose to help. Their community mostly relies on fund-raising events hosted by volunteers from university students from local universities, jeepney drivers, people who are interested in advocating their cause, and donations.
The community is located in Guinobatan West District in Bicol, Albay.
In terms of online accessibility, the community continually updates its Facebook page regarding the progress of its projects.
Furthermore, they are always open for monetary donations or in-kind, the donation procedures can be found on their Facebook page
