community development
The group had sought the opinion of a chairperson, Ms. Concepcion, about the common problems that pedicab drivers face. By nature, communication between different parties had happened to answer a common problem they face today. The main objective of our project was the develop the community in a sustainable way, and to hope for it to continue to grow in the coming years.
However, the project does not end here. The community would only develop if the project survives the test of time, as only that will tell whether the implementation of vests for identification would last long or not.
project evaluation
Ms. Concepcion stated that the project implementation is helpful and good for the community of drivers and officials in Sitio San Roque, “Ang masasabi ko po bilang presidente ng SARPODA [pati na] ng aking mga opisyales [ay] malaking tulong po sa aming samahan dito sa Agham Rd., Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City [ang proyekto].” Moreover, Ms. Concepcion also added that the bright nature of the vests is good to easily distinguish each of the officials and members from other people, and that they can tell that they are real drivers from the sitio. Alternatively, results can also be seen in PSHS-MC itself; some pedicab drivers have been seen wearing the vest while lining up in front of PSHS-MC Gate 1.
