Early Planning Session with Solace
(February 16, 2023)
Implementation of the project began of course with its planning. An activity proposal form was submitted to the Department of Student Affairs (DSA) for an exhibit of A3 posters about the achievements of different women in the fields of STEM, sports, and politics. The original activity proposal form entailed that the exhibit would be done in the hallway between the PSHS-MC Library and Humanities faculty for the duration of March 6, 2023, to March 24, 2023, with each week featuring a distinct field. However, due to clarifications regarding Solace’s plans for Women’s Month and the transport strike which caused class suspensions on the week of March 6, the group decided to merge this exhibit with Solace’s Women’s Month Exhibit which was slated to start on March 22, 2023 in the ASTB Hall. A letter was submitted to the DSA to inform them of these changes.
Research on women with significant achievements in STEM, sports, and politics was completed promptly to give sufficient time for the completion of the posters. This research was compiled in one Google Doc per field. This was performed by the group independent of Solace’s other members and committees.
For the creation of the posters, general concepts, and layouts were created by the group while Solace gave feedback, made minor adjustments, and approved the materials. Since Solace’s Women’s Month Exhibit also consisted of many other posters of various topics, they also requested our group’s assistance with those posters. Members of our group helped by giving feedback and making edits or changes in the layout of the content.
The posters were printed on tarpaulins, with the cost being shouldered by Solace.

Exhibit Layout Planning with Solace
(March 13, 2023)
To plan the layout for the exhibit, the then-standing Tech Unit Art Exhibit was used as reference. Particularly, it was planned that the women's month exhibit would make use of the folding white stands which would be borrowed from the tech unit after the art exhibit was finished.
Tarpaulins were posted onto the stands using thumbtacks and sticky tack.
In total there were 12 stands used to accommodate 11 publication materials of different topics.
The group created a Google Form for feedback from the PSHS community containing questions pertaining to the quality of the posters and other feedback aspects which Solace heads requested for. A QR Code for the feedback form was created to be posted on the exhibit stands next to the posters for easier access.
