Contribute to establishing Solace as a more well-known organization in the PSHS-MC community
Create publication materials raising awareness about four outstanding women each in the fields of STEM, politics, and sports
Provide supplementary labor for other aspects of the women’s month exhibit (including setup and assistance in other featured posters)
Spread awareness to the Pisay community about gender-related issues which don’t often get highlighted
In working with Solace, Pisay’s Women Empowerment and Sexual Harassment Intervention Committee, we aim to create safe spaces for women and sexual harassment survivors to feel recognized, heard, and empowered by spreading awareness on issues such as sexism and sexual harassment.
However, a problem Solace has is a lack of manpower in the creatives and research committees. Without the proper support, this year’s Women’s Month Exhibit would not have been properly finished on schedule. The root cause of this problem is that Solace has not yet reached the status of a well-established organization in the Pisay community, as it was only founded during the pandemic. Every successful event held by Solace is a step toward making it a more well-known organization.
