It allows you to quickly zoom in and out on a photo with the mouse wheel.
Go, Edit > Preferences > Tools and click on Zoom with Scroll Wheel.
When you zoom in a grid might appear, this may be helpful or an annoyance.
Go, View > Show > Pixel Grid and check or uncheck the setting.
This will enable you to select objects and bring up the resizing and rotate controls.

This will enable you to change the default picture viewer to the program InfranView which is a great little jpg viewer.
Type Default into the windows search bar.
Select the Default Apps option.
Under Photo Viewer, click on the current icon or add sign and select InfranView 64-bit. All your images should now open in this program when you double-click on them.
Use the keyboard arrow keys to quickly browse all your images.
