Create a poster for a country, city, person, singer, band, movie or whatever interests you using photos inside text.
Folders, Smart Objects, Alignment
Create a New Document 2200 Pixels wide by 1200 in Height. (You can crop your canvas at the end if needed)
Your poster should contain easily identifiable images on your topic.
Use text effects (Layer Styles) such as Bevels and Shadows to give them that 3D effect.
Keep it interesting, yet simple. You want your poster to stand out but not be too busy.
Adding extra accent images and a good background related to your topic will help to achieve a level 4 on this project.
Create a New Folder Group in your Layer Panel
Double Click on the Folder Name and rename it to the Letter you want to use.
Make sure the folder is highlighted.
Grab the Text Tool.
Select a Large Wide Font - The wider the better.
Type our your Letter
It should be inside your folder - you can see that it's indented. Drag the text layer onto the folder if it's no inside.
Make sure the folder is highlighted.
Search Google, copy your photo and paste it in Photoshop.
The Photo should be inside the folder above your Text Layer.
Right-Click beside the Photo Layer name in the Layer Panel and select Create a Clipping Mask.
You should now see your photo in your letter.
You can move/resize your photo so that it looks better in your letter.
Make sure the folder is highlighted.
Right-Click beside the Folder name and select Convert to Smart Object.
You can now move your letter freely and resize/rotate it if necessary.
Double-Click on the new Smart Layer to add Layer Styles.
Image Selections - Images are high quality (large size and full of detail - non-pixelated)
Image Selections - Letter images are reflective of the topic. Also included are accent images, and a background image, texture, or gradient.
Photoshop - The font choice is thick enough so that images are easily identifiable inside the text.
Photoshop - Correct use of Layer Masks and Clipping Masks.
Composition - The text is well placed with accent images to support the theme.
Submitted work - 1 completed Inside Text
Level 4 is going beyond what is asked and through the detail in your masking, the gradient choice, and the overall effort in your completed work(s).
