Create a simple animated of a walking monster across the desert.
Symbols and Movie Clips
Download the walking guy pics - The pictures will download as a zip file. Right-click on the file and select 7-Zip > Extract to "Walking Animation Pics"
Change the size of the stage to 1200x800 and set the FPS to 24.
Import all the walking pictures and dune to the library. File > Import > Import to Library.
Add the dune to the main layer's keyframe and extend it (F5) for 120 frames.
Select the Transform Tool and hold ALT to scale the dune to the size of the stage.
Create a new layer and add the first picture of the walking guy to the stage (do NOT re-size the picture).
Right-click on your picture and select Convert to Symbol and select Movie Clip for the Type and call it walking.
With the Selection Tool, double-click on the monster picture to enter Object Editing mode.
The Monster will now have its own timeline. (a small movie clip inside the larger movie)
Insert a keyframe F6 (every second Frame), Click the monster, and swap the picture with the next one in the sequence by clicking on the swap icon (see below).
Keep inserting keyframes and swapping pictures until the entire animation has been entered.
Click on the word Scene 1 to return to your scene.
You can now resize the character and then Motion Tween your monster across the screen.
Add a few user-created movie clips to your animation. (like my bird example)
You will only see your movie clips when you fully test your movie – CTRL-ENTER
Export your animation as a VIDEO file and upload it to your PAH-ASM folder then insert it into your website.
