Disposing plastic is a major challenge in today’s world given that plastic is composed entirely of chemicals that would not decompose naturally and incinerating plastic emits unspeakable amount of pollutants into the air. It sticks around, in various forms around us, not perishing, not vanishing.
The plastic consumed in Gandhinagar ends up in the landfill and in roadsides which is then consumed by the stray animals. This affects their health. A decent percentage of plastic pollution is caused by carry bags and in Gandhinagar it is majorly used in street food and by vegetable vendors. This service aims to address, in particular, the issue of carrying vegetables by introducing eco friendly alternatives with no strings attached.
