The name Desi Aroma, was conceived by combining two separate words in two different languages.
Home made food is often defined by the Aroma or the smell, which carries the identity of the flavours of the region. The word Desi, which is a Hindi word, which refers to Indian or native to the country or region. Hence the name DESI AROMA, which is the reflection of authentic flavours.

The tagline is a reflection of the ideology,
'Ghar jaisa nahi, Ghar ka khana' / 'Not home-like food, home-cooked food'
Swaad means taste or flavour, Ghar ka means of home in Hindi; Thus the tagline literally means flavours of home
