Faculty Academic Advisors

Comprehensive advising is a proven intervention to increase student retention and completion. Full-time CTE faculty who teach program courses are expected to advise students in their program. Faculty advisors discuss degree requirements, assist students with the registration process, and connect students to College resources to help them be successful students. Department Deans assign faculty to the advising role and determine the number of advisees allowed per workloads. Faculty advisors then complete a training program.
