Week ending: Friday 21st June 2024

Dear Families,

We have had a fantastic week in the sunshine and a brilliant Sports Day! Thank you to all the parents who walked with us to Finsbury Park and cheered the children on-they were amazing and we are so proud of them.  We loved watching the family races! This week we continued to learn about our favourite Minibeasts and created fact files and labelled the features of them. The children have loved exploring Minibeasts in the playground and have learnt to identify different body parts. Please look out for more information for key dates over the next few weeks regarding our Reception Showcase and Splash Pad trip!

Have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes from the Reception Team

Our Maths Learning this week

This week, we have been practising recognising and identifying 2D shapes. We have also practised repeating and creating patterns using colours and 2D shapes!

Our Phonics Learning this week

Practise the sounds we have learnt this week with your child by clicking on the pictures below. The more opportunities they have to see, hear and say the sounds, the more likely they are to stick. The videos will teach you too! Then practise reading the green words. Can you write any?
