Dear Families,

Welcome back to our new term and Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas break. We have had a great first few days settling the children back into school routines! We started a new topic: Contrasting Countries. We have been learning about the country of Jamaica and finding out how it is similar or different to where we live in the UK. We enjoyed playing in the small world, a Jamaican beach scene and working together to sort out the different pollution in our Recycling Centre just like our new story "Clean Up". We even had a taste of some exotic fruit and described what it was like. In maths, we looked at greater than and less than. 

As the weather grows colder over Winter, please ensure your child has an appropriate coat, scarf, gloves or hat to keep warm during playtime and lunchtime. It is also essential that your child has a spare changes of clothes on their peg at school every day!
