Week ending Friday 8th December, 2023

Dear Families,

Thank you to all the families who joined us for Parents Consultations on Thursday. It was so lovely to meet with you all and discuss the amazing progress the children have made. Please do let us know if you missed it and we can arrange a separate time.  This week  has been an incredibly busy week! We continued to learn about toys and focused our learning around how toys have changed. We looked at real old and new toys and compared what different materials toys are made of in the past and now and talked about how some toys now use batteries. In maths, we focussed on counting, representing the number 10 and started to look at number bonds. The children have even began writing their own equations!

As we get into the festive spirit, we have a number of festive events coming up next week including Christmas Jumper/Lunch day, our Carols and Crafts performance and the EYFS pantomime show!

A friendly reminder that our last day of school is Wednesday 20th December and we will be finishing at 2pm.

Have a fantastic weekend and stay warm!

Best wishes from the Reception Team
