Week ending Friday 3rd March, 2023

Dear Families,

This week we have learnt about Georgie’s village and how it is different to the city we live in. We were very creative, sculpting our own clay pots, making instruments and hand printing safari animals! On Friday, we celebrated World Book Day. We came into school dressed as favourite book characters, completed activities based on the story Meet The Oceans! We had so much fun reading, sharing favourite stories and creating our own book marks and stories! We had lots of special adults reading to the children and even had a fashion show and parade. What a fun day celebrating reading! In maths, we continued to look at teen numbers to 20.  We have also enjoyed our music lessons with Ms Marshall. We have sent home new Reading Book wallets and journal which the children need to return to school every Wednesday. Please read with your child and let them practise their RWI reading book too. Have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes from the Reception Team
