1. Magnetic Weather Wolf

Adaptation technique: Addition - Teachers can add more choices for the magnetic clothes according to the different weather.

Implementation strategies:

Teacher prints pictures of a wolf, hats, sunglasses, a scarf, and other items and puts them on an adhesive magnetic sheet.
Teacher cuts out the shapes.
Teacher places them on the whiteboard and explains the activity.
Teacher gives a clue of a certain weather and pupils take turns to match the wolf’s clothing to the correct weather.

Adaptation technique: Modification - Teachers can also use other items to decorate the cups.

Implementation strategies:

Teacher distributes the cups and colourful marker pens to pupils.
Teacher explains the activity where pupils need to decorate their snowman cup according to their creativity.
After 10 minutes, teacher distributes a story prompt with a few words to each group. For example, “one day, the snowman met a friend…”, eat together, delicious ice cream, happy, bid goodbye.
Teacher explains the activity where pupils have to do storytelling based on the prompt given using the snowman cups.
Teacher ensures all pupils have equal parts and contribute to the storytelling activity.

Implementation strategies:

Teacher writes / projects the criteria of each season on the board and lets pupils match it with its season.
Teachers can also share the game with pupils to find out which season are they.

Adaptation technique: Addition - Teachers can modify the activity by making the craft for other weather as well.

- For remedial pupils, teachers can provide pre-cut sun shapes and sunbeams to make the activity more accessible.

- Teachers can also offer a word bank with pictures next to each word to help pupils choose and spell the words.

Implementation strategies:

Teacher discusses the summer season with the pupils. Ask them what they think of when they hear the word "summer" and list these words on the board.
Teacher introduces additional summer vocabulary words that might be new to the pupils.
Teacher shows pupils how to create a sun using a paper and cuts several strips from the orange paper to create the sunbeams.
Teacher distributes the materials to the pupils and guides them.
Teacher asks pupils to write one summer vocabulary word on each sunbeam using markers or crayons.
Teacher ensures pupils glue the sunbeams around the yellow circle to create the sun and encourages them to decorate their sun further with drawings or additional summer-related symbols.
Once the suns are complete, teacher invites pupils to share their sun charts with the class, reading out the words they’ve chosen.
Teacher displays the finished sun charts around the classroom.
