The Learning Center has several groups of tutors to support math courses:
Math tutors support most of the Mathematics Department courses, especially the lower-division courses in algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus. All Math tutors have taken calculus through at least MATH 76.
Education Studies tutors focus on MATH 10A, 10AL, 10B (Structure and Concepts in Mathematics), and MATH 100 (Exploring Mathematics), which are designed for future elementary school teachers.
Business, Health, Psychology, and Social Sciences tutors focus on statistics courses from other departments, such as CRIM 50, DS 71, PH 92, PSYCH 42, and SOC 125.
MATH 11 (Elementary Statistics) and MATH 45 (What Is Math?): Although we do not recruit tutors specifically for MATH 11 or MATH 45, there are several Learning Center tutors who have taken these courses and are ready to support you.
Check out the tutoring schedule for the list of available tutors.
