MATH 76

Topics

Position, velocity, and acceleration, are physics topics but math is used to  solve them. This picture should show how the three are connected and we are able to find one from the other using derivatives and anti derivatives.

Confused with the area between curves concept? Here's a link that explains the topic, may seem like a lot of writing but it's all helpful stuff to use as backup in case you missed something in the lecture.

Use this to see which concepts you still can't understand, it's ok to be confused and that why tutoring is available for you so that we can help you.

Solids of Revolutions - Disk Method

The first part of this course really focuses on the disk and shell integration methods. Here is a link to one of my favorite websites for understanding this topic.

Series and Sequences - Convergence Tests

This video will help you know which convergence test to use when dealing with series.

Sequences - Practice Problems

Here's a video by The Organic Chemistry Tutor with practice problems on finding whether a sequence converges or diverges.

Practice Problems

If you'd like some more practice, here is a list of Calc 2 worksheets from the University of Arizona.

They cover pretty much every topic from Calc 2, from integration techniques to series.

Use these to study for your exams, or to just do some good old-fashioned math.

Polar Coordinates Introduction

Follow this link and use the left sidebar to select the topic you want. Then choose one of the subtopics. Lastly, click on "Accompanying Notes".

Happy learning :)

Partial Fractions

If you need a simplified breakdown of partial fractions follow the link here.

This site breaks down how to perform most partial fraction in a step by step guide. It also gives you examples on how to handle some special cases.

Partial fractions are very useful for simplifying function before performing integration.
