The Learning Center currently recruits tutors for 12 subjects listed on the homepage. In the past, tutors have been hired for other subjects or have provided support for specific courses in other subjects, and they have posted resources in this Tutor Library for those subjects. Click below to see those resources, and check out the tutoring schedule to see if any current tutors support some courses in those subjects.
Biology: Some BIOL courses are supported by Chemistry and Health tutors, as well as Supplemental Instruction (SI).
Communication: Written assignments in COMM courses are supported by Writing tutors.
CSDS: At this time, there are a few tutors from other subjects who can support some CSDS courses. Please note that support for these courses varies from semester to semester. As of the Spring 2026 semester, Caitlin Santos (Writing) and Nina Snyder (Health) can support most Speech-Language Pathology major courses.
Japanese: Resources for JAPN 1A and 1B were curated by Writing Tutor Aidan Boyles, with the advice of and support from both Dr. Miho Schweizer and Dr. Tomoko Kozasa in the Linguistics Department.
Linguistics: Resources for LING 139 (General Phonetics) were curated by Writing Tutor Aidan Boyles, with the advice of and support from Dr. Sean Fulop in the Linguistics Department.
Spanish: While we do not offer subject tutoring in Spanish, our past Spanish tutors have provided resources. You may also make appointments with tutors who have listed Spanish classes on their course list. As of the Spring 2026 semester, Diego (Writing) and Rafael (Social Sciences) can support most Spanish major courses.
Statistics: Tutor support depends on the course (Business tutors for DS courses; Health tutors for PH 92; Math tutors for MATH 11, 11L; Social Sciences tutors for CRIM 50, SOC 125). Graduate students may also meet with consultants in the Graduate Statistics Studio.
