These courses are introductions to the primary political, social, cultural, and economic developments in American history.
Listen carefully and take notes. At their best, history lectures can be gripping, entertaining, and intellectually stimulating! Taking notes represents the key to succeeding in History 11 and 12. Most of the exams and papers come straight from in-class notes on specific lecture topics.
Do the reading! The reading assigned almost always represents the critical component of a course outside of scheduled lectures. Often, the answers needed are in the reading.
Utilize office hours- Your instructors want you to succeed as it reflects on themselves and usually, this is their passion. Go talk to your instructor and they will map you chart a road to success.
Make connections with others. Other students can strengthen your understanding and vice versa. You're never doing it alone!
