Wang

How to succeed in Wang's Class:

No seriously, if he likes you and remembers your name, there's a much higher chance for him to be more relaxed in class (and grading too).

If you are one of his favorite students in class (aka makes fun of you in a playful way), then you unlock a special ability where you can convince him to delay tests or assignments!

This goes hand-in-hand with the previous tip. If you go to his office hours, he will most likely remember you. But also, and more importantly, if you ask about the study guides, he gives you lots (and probably too much) information about what's on the test. The study guides are purposely way too general to really be useful most of the time so it its very useful to talk to him about what he means specifically.

He WILL give surprise quizzes, and it is always on the days that you miss. Just don't risk it. In addition, he sometimes puts information not found in the lectures or textbook that may be in the test itself.

This applies to all professors but they always seem to enjoy when a student is interested in their academic research. He will definitely remember you after the conversation and if you are lucky, he will invite you to the team! Overall, talking to someone about things they are interested is always a strategy to get to know people.

Other Resources:

If you are like me and prefer to learn through youtube videos, I highly recommend Neso Academy.

H-Bridge:

You will encounter the H-Bridge motor control in the class. Many, many students struggle on this topic including myself. Linked to the right is a video explaining the H-Bridge.

A good tip is to understand how and why they the specific transistors within the circuit.

Textbook:

READ THE TEXTBOOK. This is one of the best tips I can give. This doesn't mean reading it chapter by chapter, but I mean cross-referencing what is on the slides to the textbook.  The textbook goes super in-depth with the code Wang puts into his slides and allows for a better conceptual understanding
