Post‑processing is the set of finishing steps performed after a 3D print is complete. These techniques improve appearance, fit, strength, and usability. This page introduces common tools, methods, and best practices for finishing PLA prints made on our Bambu Labs printers.

Post‑processing is optional for many prints, but essential for high‑quality or visually polished results.
Flush cutters — trim supports, brims, and small artifacts
Deburring tool — clean edges and holes
Needle files — refine tight areas and internal corners
Sanding sticks — controlled sanding for small surfaces
Utility knife / hobby knife — scrape or trim imperfections
Scraper — remove prints from the bed safely
Sandpaper (120–400 grit) — smooth layer lines
Sanding blocks — keep surfaces flat
Flexible sanding pads — conform to curved surfaces
Heat gun — soften PLA slightly for bending or smoothing
Soldering iron — embed brass inserts or repair small defects
