Loveland CreatorSpace is a community‑driven makerspace built on collaboration, curiosity, and shared stewardship. Membership provides access to tools, training, community events, and the opportunity to contribute to a thriving creative environment.

All membership levels include:
24/7 access to the building
Access to all shop areas (woodshop, metal shop, laser cutters, 3D printing, CNC, electronics)
Training and authorization opportunities for restricted tools
Slack access for communication and coordination
Voting rights in member meetings
Opportunities to volunteer, teach, and contribute to the space
Access to community events and workshops
Membership is about more than using tools — it’s about being part of a community that builds, learns, and improves together.
Loveland CreatorSpace offers three membership levels designed to support individuals, families, and organizations. Membership dues support rent, utilities, insurance, tool maintenance, and consumables.

A one‑month Individual Membership (non‑recurring) costs $100

$150 per month for the first three members
$40 per month for each additional member (up to eight total)

The following policies became effective August 1, 2023:
All membership levels incur a one‑time $30 setup fee, paid in addition to the first month’s dues. Setup fee covers fob activation and onboarding.
Members who pay for a full year upfront receive a one‑month discount. Annual discount applies only to Individual and Family memberships.
Loveland CreatorSpace does not issue refunds for membership dues or other fees.

Members are expected to:
Follow all posted safety rules and tool‑specific guidelines
Complete required training before using restricted equipment
Clean up after themselves and leave areas better than they found them
Respect shared tools, materials, and other members’ projects
Report broken tools or unsafe conditions
Participate in community stewardship
Communicate respectfully in person and on Slack
Use Slack for communication rather than texting individual board members
Support a culture of learning, curiosity, and mutual respect
Respect consumables - use only what you need
Loveland CreatorSpace is volunteer‑run — the space works because members help it work.
Members receive 24/7 access through the current access system (keycard, code, or app — depending on current policy).
Do not share keys, codes, or access credentials.
Lost fobs may incur a replacement fee.
Some tools require additional authorization (SawStop, CNC, welding, lathes, lasers).
Members must complete training before using restricted equipment.
Tool reservations (if applicable) must be made through Slack or posted systems.
Slack is the primary communication platform for:

Members should join the relevant channels for the areas they use.
Members are encouraged to:
Help maintain shop areas
Assist with cleaning and organization
Teach classes or workshops
Serve as area leads
Help onboard new members
Participate in community events
Participate in periodic work days
Stewardship is part of membership — it keeps the space running smoothly and builds community.
Members must:
Treat others with respect
Communicate constructively
Avoid harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior
Respect personal property and projects
Follow all safety rules
Use tools responsibly
Support a positive, inclusive environment
Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or revocation of membership.
All new members should:
Attend a New Member Orientation
Complete basic safety training
Get introduced to area leads
Join Slack
Learn how to reserve tools and ask for help
Review the Member Handbook
Orientation must be completed before fob activation
Orientation ensures new members feel confident and supported.
Members may:
Pause membership
Cancel membership at any time
Rejoin later without penalty
Request storage cleanup or project pickup if leaving
Members are responsible for removing stored items before cancellation
Unclaimed items may be disposed of after the posted grace period
Tools and projects left behind may be removed or repurposed after a posted grace period.
