Guidelines for storing projects, materials, and personal items at Loveland CreatorSpace.
Loveland CreatorSpace provides limited storage space for active projects and materials. To keep the space safe, organized, and accessible for all members, this policy outlines what may be stored, where it may be stored, and how long it may remain in the space. Paid storage options are available for members who need dedicated space. Storage is limited - please use it responsibly.
The storage policy ensures that:
Members have space to work on active projects
The facility remains clean, safe, and uncluttered
Abandoned items do not accumulate
Shared areas remain available for everyone
Projects are protected from accidental damage
Storage is a privilege, not a guarantee. Members must follow all storage rules. Storage helps prevent clutter and maintain safe walkways. Storage rules protect everyone’s ability to work safely.
Members may store:
Active projects currently being worked on
Materials needed for an active project
Tools personally owned and used for a project
Project components that cannot be reasonably transported
Items must be clearly related to an active project.
Long‑term personal storage
Furniture, appliances, or household items
Large materials not tied to a project
Hazardous chemicals - Chemicals must follow posted safety rules (no unapproved chemicals)
Food or perishables
Items stored “just in case” or “for future use”
Large quantities of materials must be approved by the board.
If in doubt, ask a board member.
Loveland CreatorSpace provides several storage options:
For projects actively being worked on:
Designated shelving
Project carts
Labeled bins
Assigned areas in shop spaces
Short‑term storage is intended for 1–14 days. Short-term storage must not spill into walkways or block tools.
For large or ongoing projects:
Must be approved by the board
Must be clearly labeled
Must have a defined end date
Must not block walkways or shop access
Long‑term storage is not guaranteed and may be revoked if space is needed.
Members may store personal items (bags, coats, laptops) only while present in the space.
Daily storage items must be removed when leaving. Daily storage is not monitored - do not leave valuables.
Loveland CreatorSpace offers dedicated paid storage for members who need reliable, long‑term space for tools, materials, or ongoing projects. Availability varies — please ask a board member or the Director for current openings. Paid storage is billed monthly with membership dues. Members must keep paid storage areas tidy and safe.
