Process
If you are not already checked out, then click Check Out to edit this section.
At the top right of each subsection there is a small white circle with a green arrow. This is a toggle switch which can be used to collapse each of the subsections for convenience.
See the Static Links guide regarding the identical links shown on each page of the IEP sections.
State Education Assessments
Check the bubbles according to regular assessments, K-2 alternate assessments, LEAP Connect assessments, or none.
If K-2 alternate assessments is selected, per the eSER site: The team must upload the K-2 Alternate Assessment Participation Decision-Making Tool under Supporting Documentation.
The link to this tool can also be found with other documents via IEP > IEP List > (choose IEP) > IEP Section > Placement/Least Restrictive Environment, under the Supporting Documentation subsection.
If LEAP Connect is selected, then click the Edit Section(s) link to add the LEAP Connect section to the IEP.
This is also referred to as the "LEAP Connect eligibility form" in the statement, "The team must complete the current LEAP Connect eligibility form" in this subsection.

The Student's Total Instructional Day (Minutes) field must be entered in minutes, i.e., one hour = 60 minutes, one day + 1440 minutes, etc.
The Student Attends School dropdown offers numbers 1-5 for days of the week.

If there are services and minutes entered, the Total Number of Minutes in Special Setting per week row at the bottom of the table will automatically show a calculated total.
This calculated total only reflects the Special Setting minutes.
The formula is: "Special Setting minutes" x "Sessions" = "Total Number of Minutes in Special Setting per week." All minutes are totaled. The PLRE range is set by the total special setting minutes/total instructional minutes.
The total shown here will directly affect the next two IEP Sections:
Special Transportation

Extended School Year Services (ESYS)
Click the desired checkboxes in the two categories:
Criteria for Consideration
Special Circumstances
There are similarities between the checkboxes here, to those in "ESYS Eligibility Criteria Determination" in the Extended School Year Services section. To clarify:
This subsection should only be completed if the student is "considered" for ESY Services.
The "ESYS Eligibility Criteria Determination" checkboxes in Extended School Year Services should only be filled out if the student has been "determined" to need ESY services closer to the end of the regular school year.
Add narratives to the next two text boxes if needed.
At the bottom, click Save to commit the changes.
To create a new service tab, click Check Out if you are not already checked out. Then click the "+" button that appears at the top left of the Services table.
In the Add/Edit Service popup that appears, enter the data using the dropdowns, date field and text boxes. The example below shows how this may look:
Click Save Changes, and the data will appear in the Services table.
