Recycling is the process of creating new products from the waste of previous products. It is a key global initiative, taken to reduce the effect of global warming and climate change. At JIS, we have many modes of collection for recycling, through designated recycling bins in our hallways and classrooms.
A company which collects used cooking oil, to turn into fuel for refineries, cars and more! Through Shaliz, we will be able to find a more sustainable mode of discarding our cooking oil. Some of our eco-reps are also currently working with Shaliz, as part of their green business intiative.
Daikyo is the biggest recycling company in Brunei. Working towards recycling paper, plastic, nylon, electronics, ferrous and non ferrous scrap, they are the largest outlet in Brunei to bring our recycling to life. We have our very own Daikyo bins at the arts centre for students and their families to use!
