Mint Sugar Cookies 🍭
We strive to become more eco-conscious in our food consumption, and we believe that meaningful change starts with small, thoughtful actions. One such step is opting for freshly harvested mint leaves as opposed to buying imported mint leaves from the supermarket. By choosing local ingredients, we not only reduce our environmental impact but also support sustainable practices that benefit both our health and the planet.
Mint Lemonade in Jars 🍋
By reusing glass jars, we are minimising single-use plastic cups and the impact it has on the environment. This also means that fewer jars are discarded, reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfill. Bonus! People can bring it back home and use it at home :)
In June 2024, the school held an afterschool event at the ODC. Kingfishers had the opportunity to be involved in revitalising trees including digging a hole, putting in fertilisers, getting compost and many more. This event allowed students to learn more about maintaining the health of our trees and plants that give us the oxygen we breathe in! 🌳
Outdoor Discovery Centre
The Outdoor Discovery CCA is offered on two different days: Monday and Wednesday, running from 3.15 to 4.45 pm. It offers a wide variety of activities and can also be a student-led initiative where students can plan out their own activities ranging from upcycling storage boxes, making your terrarium or baking pandan chiffon cake incorporating pandan leaves that are freshly picked from the ODC! It's a CCA filled with fun memories and anecdotes while being surrounded by our beloved nature (and sometimes mosquitos).

Our Kingfishers hard at work!
9th October 2024:
Our hardworking eco-committee put their blood, sweat and tears into making our Basil Farm 🌿 - we recycled empty toilet paper rolls making them into small pots for our seed starters. This way, we reduce the amount of waste that goes into landfills and not only that, the rolls are biodegradable which makes it convenient for them to be replanted into soil!
