To promote sustainability in not only Senior School, but in Junior School as well, we have a dedicated team of Eco-Juniors who work together to carry out audits for the Green Flag Award, promote sustainable living in the younger years, and more. They are supported by the Senior School Sustainability team, alongside passionate teachers and staff in Junior School.
At the heart of our school, a vibrant tapestry of green emerges from the efforts of our junior school students. Their efforts have brought our very own Edible Garden to life, a living testament to their dedication to sustainability. The Edible Garden stands not just as a plot of greenery, but as a testament to the power of youthful passion in fostering a more sustainable future.
We believe that 'Teaspoons of Change' start here. Start now. Nestled in the core of the Junior School play area, this garden is a bustling ecosystem of aromatic basil, resilient rosemary, mint and so much more. This garden aims to educate our young students about the wonders that nature offers, right outside their classroom doors.
With unwavering enthusiasm, these young gardeners have not only cultivated a sanctuary for these herbs but also sowed the seeds of sustainability in our school community. Through this project, they've learned the art of nurturing life, understanding the interconnectedness of nature, and embracing the joy of sustainability as they proudly share their knowledge with peers and teachers alike.
In the bustling kitchen of our junior school, the herb garden's harvest has become a wellspring of culinary inspiration. By allowing their curiosity to run free, our young chefs have made lots of tasty things using basil, curry leaves, lemongrass, and beyond! These recipes are special as they are not only tasty, but help protect our Earth. We hope they leanrt valuable skills to share with their families at home.
