At Barbet, we take pride in our eco-focused initiatives, weaving sustainability into the fabric of everyday learning. From eco-friendly practices, we empower our students to become responsible global citizens. Our motto "Be Your Best Self," encapsulates our values as a house. With a focus on individuality, we encourage our students to explore their passions and form a unbreakable bond with the environment.
We explored the opportunity to work with Pandan leaves and we collaborated with our sister house to create a zero-waste product: Pandan Cakes encased in Pandan casings.
To reduce our carbon footprint, we source lemongrass and lime from local markets.
Mint leaves, pandan and butterfly-pea flowers freshly picked from our ODC.
Our mojitos are served in paper cups, and our cakes are packaged in pandan casings, both of which are compostable.
We ensure that all ingredients we purchase are in paper packaging to minimize waste and maximize composting.
Compost the food scraps, paper packaging, and eggshells to reduce our environmental impact.
We combined the recipes of our delicious Mojitos with our sister house's ideas about incorporating the butterfly pea flowers grown at the ODC to create the eco-friendly "Butterfly-Pea Mojito".
We, Skylark, embrace the limitless potential that lies beyond the horizon, expressed in our motto: 'The sky isn't our limit.' Through our collective efforts, we strive to make a positive impact on the environment, inspiring others to join us in this journey, one step at a time.

The farm utilizes technology to enhance efficiency and maximize crop output. Our visit also included a tour of their greenhouses, and even planted some of their famous melons!
Nine exchange students from Japan visited us during our ODC session. They introduced us to the concept of "Mottainai," which emphasizes using resources responsibly and avoiding waste. We then joined them in a hands-on activity, planting Brunei's national flower, the Simpur, in the ODC garden.
