Exchange Internship offers are offers exchanged during the Exchange sessions (spring, autumn and winter) and they should be exchanged 1:1.
After you exchange an offer with a country, you have to share this offer within 12 hours on the Exchange Platform.
Go to Incoming and view you offers in the status Ready for sharing.
Open the Exchange Internship you want to share.
Check if all the nomination details are correct:
If all the information are correct, go to the tab Share/Publish and choose the country you want to share the offer with.
Click on the button Share.
Note: The offer changes its status to Offer Shared and needs to be accepted by the receiving country. When the receiving country accepts the offer, the status changes to Published. When the offer is rejected by the receiving country, the status changes back to Ready for Sharing and the offer can be shared again.
Global Internship offers can be shared with more countries. For more information, please refer to the Exchange Practical Guide.
Go to Incoming tab.
Go the tab Ready for sharing.
Open the Global Internship offer you want to share.
Check if all the nomination details are correct:
If all the information are correct, go to the tab Share/Publish and choose the countries you want to share the offer with.
Click on the button Publish.
We have created a new functionality in the EP. In order to avoid last minute expression of interest from students (application for a published offer), a new deadline for students is set.
How does this work?
EAs can keep organising their deadlines as they currently do according to the deal they have with employers.
The changes will impact only the Student Portal, as the new student deadline ([Original] - 4 days) is shown in the highlighted sections on the student portal (see image below)
Why -4 days?
Well IAESTE is present in different regions of the world with different weekends set up. While in some countries weekends are taking place during Saturday and Sundays, in other countries the weekends happen during Thursday and Friday. We agreed that 4 days would cover this cultural setup.
The same new deadline is also shown on the offer form ONLY to students. This means that EAs of receiving and sending countries will see the ORIGINAL deadline
If the new deadline is over and there is already a nomination in progress by the student - s/he WON'T be able to submit the nomination (the button to submit would not be shown) WHILE the EA/NS/LCEC can still submit the nomination as for them nothing changes and they have time until the original nomination deadline to submit it.
This new deadline is also shown on our iaeste.org website (as it is meant for students to view offers)
In short, nothing changes from an EA/NS/LCEC perspective.
In case you make any mistakes during sharing of the Exchange Internship offers or you need to extend the nomination deadline, you can easily revert the action by clicking on the button Revert at bottom of the offer. The offer will be reverted to Ready for Sharing status and share it again and if necessary change the nomination deadline.
If you have more than 10 offers where the deadline needs to be extended, you ask the ITS to do it for you.
