Global Internship Process 2023
Below you will find some of the main changes related to the Global Internship process in the Exchange Platform:
When there is a Global Internship published but one of the submitted nominations gets rejected or cancelled before the nomination deadline, the Global Internship offer stays published so that other students can be nominated.
When nominating, please follow the regular process for all types of Exchanges, in the image below you will see an example of a Global Internship Nomination under the new process.
Once the Global Internship offer passes the nomination deadline, the offer is no longer published to countries and students and it’s not possible to submit any nominations.
If the Global Internship offer passes its nomination deadline, any incomplete nominations (in status Draft, Pending Documents, Documents Submitted or Corrections Requested) will change its status to ‘Not submitted/approved in time’ and it will no longer be possible to submit those nominations.
After the nomination deadline, a Global Internship offer changes its status to Awaiting Employer Decision as soon as at least one of the nominations is shared with the employer. This way, the process is aligned with the other exchange types where this was already in place.
Once receiving the nomination, please share it with the employer. If the employer accepts the student, you have to continue with the regular process: confirm the dates of the desired period of training, then print the acceptance document, to sign it and upload it
When one of the nominations is accepted, as in the image above, a pop-up window will emerge as a reminder for the Exchange Administrator to reject all other nominations. See the image below
If none of the submitted nominations is accepted and all nominations are rejected, the Global Internship offer turns to Unused and can be again shared.
If the accepted nomination is canceled, the offer goes to Unused and can be shared again.
The rest should work as for any other exchange type.
