Throughout our first module have been and will be continue to focus on our enjoyment of singing and music. This means that we will be taking part in lots of songs linked to the whole curriculum such as maths counting songs, grammar songs and songs linked to our inquiry learning. We have been enjoying them so far and love to have a little boogie whilst singing!
N.C learn to sing and to use their voices, to create and compose music on their own and with others, have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument, use technology appropriately and have the opportunity to progress to the next level of musical excellence
During Module 2 we have been taking part in lessons that involve using our tone of voice as well as focusing on rhythm. To help develop these things, we have been spending time practising our KS1 nativity. We have enjoyed learning lots of new songs and looked forward to sharing our show with parents.
In our music lessons this module we have been focusing on the skill of rhythm and tone. We have been learning lots of different songs and have been able to use our body to create different sounds, patterns and rhythms.
Throughout the module we have been focusing improvisation. We have been doing this by learning songs that we may be familiar with and using instruments to accompaniment the beat of the music. We have enjoyed using a range of different instruments safely and sensibly.
In Module 6 we have been using all of the skills we have developed across the year by applying them when singing a song from Charanga. We have loved our music lessons this year. It has been great to see everyone get so involved with their singing and when playing the instruments.
