This module we learnt about houses around the world and why they were built differently. We researched how weather, location and use impacted on houses and homes. We then thought about and designed houses that we thought would be kinder to the environment than most traditional homes.
We also learnt about addresses and why they are so useful.
N.C. Pupils should develop knowledge about the world, the United Kingdom and their locality. They should understand basic subject-specific vocabulary relating to human and physical geography and begin to use geographical skills, including first-hand observation, to enhance their locational awareness.
Pupils should be taught to: understand geographical similarities and differences through studying the human and physical geography

In this module, we looked at the city of Inverness and comparing to our village of Hoo. To do this, we used maps and labelled our own, studied satellite images and pictures to compare the physical features and looked at the day to day lives of inhabitants of both places.
