In this module, children will be learning what 'prehistory' means and three different periods of the Stone Age.
In week 1, we learnt the chronological order of the Stone Age and used timelines to show when it began and ended.
The children made their own timelines and identified other periods of history that happened during the same time.
Module 2 - Ancient Egypt
To begin this exciting topic, we went to Kent Life to experience an 'Egyptian-themed' day!

Module 3 - MedicineÂ
In this module, we will be looking at how medicine has changed over time and which plants give us medicine!
We explored our very own forest school and Mrs Glass explained how these trees and plants help us in different ways.
Module 4 - Sir Isaac Newton - Who was he?
In this module we will look at the brilliant scientist/mathematician Sir Isaac Newton. We will research what he discovered and how his discoveries help us understand the central idea- how the world works!

Module 5 - The Invention of the lightbulb
Children have been learning about the invention of the light bulb.
Module 6 - Iron Age
This term, children will learn about the Iron Age time period and how they used to live. We started by researching an archaeological site - Skara Brae in the Orkney Islands.
