Surface table & Angle Plate

A surface table is a solid, flat plate used as a flat reference surface for precision measuring and marking out. The surface is usually cast iron or granite and finished incredibly flat to within 250 nano metres (0.00025!)

A surface table is commonly used with a scribing block and an angle plate. The angle plate is used to hold work at 90 degrees to the table so that accurate marks and measurements can be made.
