Milling Machines

Milling machines are used to cut and shape parts very accurately. Work is mounted on a movable bed and positioned under the cutting tool. The bed is then moved so that the work passes the tool and a cut is made.

In school, the milling machine is operated by hand but more complex versions can be run by computer.
