Sabian and Jersey were professional, polished and very convincing when they presented our proposal to replace grass with native plants. After a round of applause, a few councillors had questions and then voted to approve our proposal! In the next week, the Mayor said he would forward grant applications for us to apply for funding for our project. This will be an exciting real-life application of the financial literacy curriculum.

In a cross-curricular assignment that included geography, literacy and math expectations, students created an infographic to tell the story of the climate in either Syria, Iceland or Pakistan. They learned how to create graphs in Google Sheets and used Canva to create their final infographic.
