My kids love superhero stories, and I love stocking our shelves with a diverse representation of characters! Win win!

Representatives of the different regions of Earth (not countries!) use science and knowledge to fight aliens in this short graphic novel for kids..Great to have more brown superheroes in kids books, and I always like superheroes that are super from science and not inherited or random powers. My six year old really, really likes this, and I think older kids will too..The book does spend a lot of time introducing the characters before the action starts, so it was a bit slow to my adult brain, but the kid doesn’t mind..Definitely recommended!!

This is a wonderfully illustrated book with positive diverse characters of color. This futuristic world the author created looks and sounds cool and complex, but I wish I could have seen more of it, such as landmarks and ecosystems. The story started out great but ended a little flat. I love that the heroes were able to ban together to save the world, but the book didn't say how they save the day and didn't explain what happened to the other champions that had tried before them. Still, I'd recommend this to kids, and their parents, who enjoy superhero stories.

This book is great on many levels. Team work, intelligence, perseverance, athleticism, community and helpfulness are exemplary strengths the squad team shares. I love that there are two female superheroes in the squad and the story has many shades of color in the characters. My son loves this book. A fantastic and empowering story. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
