This little book does a good job of outlining what CBT is, how it works and then gives tools to use, without diving so deep you need a degree to understand it. I feel that if a person is to stick with and consistently implement the tools provided, that they would see a significant, positive change in whatever the ‘issue’ they are wanting to change.Just remember that, our minds are just like any other muscle in the body, and as with all things in life, Practice, Repetition & Consistency are the keys to success.The real question is, how bad do you want it? Enough to do the doing? Haha... if YES, buy the book, do the work and I feel that you will have success. You are stronger and more capable than you think, so RAWK on – you got this!
This is a very well-written book. Because of its clarity, it offers an opportunity to understand why and how to use CBT techniques to improve the quality of life. Surprisingly, some books have not accurately chronicled the history of CBT; this one has. Knowledge is power and the author addresses his readers as though he believes they have the capability of putting his book to good use. Many should be able to do so.
We live in the modern world full of expectation that leads to mental imbalance. A must-read book for everyone who can self-practice positivity in life, reflect upon behaviour and as a tool to support your loved ones with depression, stress or anxiety. An easy to read and understand the theory of Cognitive Behavioral and how to apply it. It has given me an in-depth view of human behaviour.
I enjoyed reading this book because it is concise and to the point. Relevant examples are given along with the concepts making it easy to understand. I hope the author provides future editions with even more material!
