The relationship between science and religion is the subject of much debate in the scientific, philosophical and theological communities. This book describes religious leaders’ disposition toward science throughout history, and highlights passages in religious scriptures that seem to describe what we call modern science today. The intersection between science and religion is explored in four religious traditions, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism. In addition, contemporary views regarding the intersection, or lack thereof, between science and religion is described. The book finishes with an appeal to continue the attempts to find bridges between science and religion. A systematic dialogue between science and religion has a better chance of providing theoretical constructs to address weighty questions faced by humanity such as our origin, the mystery of life and the development of conscience.
Great interpretation of references from ancient texts to modern scientific and technological discoveries. Explores the gamut of all prevailing religions for scientific discoveries.
Well written and researched. An interesting perspective on science and religion.
Excellent job on writing the book.. ...will read and add ome more review....
