CULVER- After 43 years of being involved with the Culver Community Building Trades Program, Robert (Bob) Trigg officially retired from his duties during the Fall Board Meeting. Bob was involved with the program for 43 years, 14 years as a teacher and 29 years as an advisory board member. Bob celebrated his 94th birthday this year. Bob spoke to the board and said "my job was a pleasure. It was fun to work with the kids and build the houses. The whole thing was very rewarding for the families, for me and for the school."

Board members spoke about the different houses that some of them worked on during their time in the program. Albert Hanselman (Vocational Program Head) said; "Our CTE program has flourished. Because of you [Bob] and Kyle [Elliott, Culver Building Trades is the gold standard because you laid the foundation. Kyle does it because that's the way you did it." Bob spoke about his time as a teacher, beginning of the program and the importance of students' learning these life skills.

Kameron Keehn, Bob's Grandson, was also present during the meeting. Kameron is a previous student of Kyle's and was recommended by Kyle to join the advisory board in place of his grandfather. All members agreed and the motion passed unanimously. Kameron currently works as a surgical tech at a local hospital. Kameron will join Tony Sellers, Jennifer Luttrell, Andy Zehner, Mike Pazin, Cindy Carter and Rocky Bachman on the board.

Kyle Elliott presented Bob with a plaque commemorating his time with the program and influence he has had over the years.
