Three CCSC Teachers Awarded Grants

CULVER- Three Culver Community Teachers were recently awarded grant funds through the Cheryl Lynn Welter Charitable Foundation.

Jason Crittendon, Band Teacher, plans to use his grant funds to purchase instruments needs for his students including reeds, oil and other needs. 

arah Bailey, Special Education Teacher, plans to purchase a Steam Roller Squeeze machine that will help with deep pressure for students. Deep pressure is found to help children and adults with sensory issues.

Lori Nudo, Special Education Teacher plans to use her funds to purchase multi-sensory academic learning activities for her classroom. 

These awards bring the total amount given to CCSC teachers and staff to $13,720.95 since 2018. The Cheryl Lyn Welter foundation honors the life of Cheryl Welter who passed away her senior year of high school in 2001. Chery was an avid people person who loved helping others. The foundation was put in place to help students in grades K-12 have opportunities to achieve goals they may not otherwise have the resources to achieve.
