Culver Community Celebrates New National Honor Society Inductees

Culver Community Middle School welcomed fourteen new inductees into the National Honor Society. These inductees included:

Savanna Harrington, Laynie Haws, Karlee Harshman, Scott Hurst, Ava Hillman, Maleah Johnson, Ava Leist, Natalie Payne, Quaid Primm, Ashley Pugh, Karlee Slone, Brady Standfast, Jack Standfast and Geoff Standfast.

These inductees are from grades 6-8.

The National Honor Society was established in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. There are more than 1000 chapters across the country. According to the nhs.us website, on average the chapters will donate over 1,000 hours of community service, $26,000 in charitable donations, 1,000 pounds of food to local, state and national causes and 100 pints of blood. 2021 marks the society's centennial anniversary.
