CULVER- Culver Community Middle School welcomed twenty new inductees into the National Junior Honor Society on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at the Induction Ceremony.
The 2022 inductees included:
Ashlynn Berndt, Parker Bird, Kael Buschman, Hannah Dolezal, Elliot Dorrel, Alexis Gasanovas, Chloe Lewis, Jacob Ringer, Sophia Rodriguez, Abby Rogers, Nicholas Schouten, Tommy Standfast, Grace Stevens, Kayleigh Brown. Troy Fa’Atuai-McCuen, Kenny Gaff, Josh Gibbons, Madison Summey, Madison Beach, Hayden Lute
These inductees are from grades 6-8.
The National Honor Society was established in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. There are more than 1000 chapters across the country. According to the nhs.us website, on average the chapters will donate over 1,000 hours of community service, $26,000 in charitable donations, 1,000 pounds of food to local, state and national causes and 100 pints of blood. 2021 marked the society's centennial anniversary.
