What will your career look like in 1, 5, 10 years? What a heavy question! It is one we all face.
Led by Certified Life & Career Coach, Ali Goodin, this 90-minute professional development workshop will help you unpack what makes you happy in your job today and guide you on how to cast that vision to shape your future career path.
Future-thinking work is hard, especially when our current path is less than ideal or unclear. This workshop begins with a current-state mindset: where are you at today in your career, and what about your current job situation makes you happy? To answer these questions, Ali will walk you through a tool called the Career Wheel, a simple pen-to-paper exercise that breaks down where your happiness levels are at today to help spot your opportunities for future success.
Next you'll use your Career Wheel to jump off the diving board and into a pool of future thinking and reflection. You'll be partnered up to explore three questions based on the results from your Career Wheel. Your answers will then serve as the foundation to the final exercise: creating a vision statement.
A vision statement is a short, inspirational reminder that connects you with your Future Self, describing what your life will look and feel when your aspirations are actualized. During this wrap up exercise, you'll be paired up one last time to brainstorm a vision statement that will carry you and your Future Self into the next 10 years of your career.
