‼️ Stay up to date with the July 2025 Chapters Brief!
The Culture First Chapters Workshop Program aims to enhance our global community's experience by offering a diverse range of high-quality workshops that align with our mission to create a better world of work. Each of these workshops below have been vetted by our community and follow our Culture First Structure. These were created as a way to help our chapter leads easily host meaningful and impactful gatherings for their local communities.
This page outlines the program, including criteria for workshop selection, roles and responsibilities, financial rules, feedback processes, and more.
1. Workshop Approval Process 🕵️
If you or someone else in the community is interested in applying to be one of our approved workshop facilitators, you can fill out the form linked below. A small group of chapter leads selects a handful of workshops twice per year.
Important Guidelines:
Submit only one workshop proposal per application round. If multiple submissions are received, we will only review the first one submitted.
Workshops do not roll over from one review cycle to the next. If you were not selected previously, you’ll need to reapply.
Selected facilitators must deliver their first session within two months of approval. This first session is considered a probationary pilot and is unpaid. Feedback from this session will determine whether the workshop remains on the approved list.
Workshops that are not booked within a year or receive consistently poor feedback may be removed from the program.
Selection Criteria:
Relevance: Addresses timely topics in workplace culture or personal development.
Uniqueness: Offers a distinctive angle or new take not already represented in existing workshops.
Facilitator Expertise: Demonstrate expertise and experience in their subject matter.
Alignment with Core Elements: Includes the five core elements: Welcome, Connection, Work, Action, and Close. They must also be engaging and interactive.
Diversity and Inclusion: We aim to be intentional about the workshops and facilitators that contribute to the diversity of our program, including geographic, gender, and racial diversity.
2. Roles and Responsibilities 🤝
Role of the Selected Facilitator:
Design + Delivery: Create and deliver engaging content that aligns with our Culture First framework.
No Selling: This is a non-promotional community. Attendees' emails will not be shared. You may collect opt-ins during the session or post-event.
Promotion: Collaborate with chapter leads and promote on your channels.
Post-Event Comms: Draft a thank-you/follow-up message for the chapter lead to send to attendees.
First Session: Your first session with the community must be hosted within two months of being selected for the pilot and is unpaid. After that, you are eligible for reimbursement.
Co-Hosting: Up to three chapters can co-host a single workshop. However, you cannot dictate the number of chapters that co-host.
Reimbursement: Submit a form and invoice directly—chapter leads are not responsible for paying you.
Role of the Workshop Mentor:
If selected for an approved workshop, the facilitator will be assigned a mentor. This is a seasoned chapter lead of the community with tons of insight and expertise when it comes to the people and culture industy and facilitation.
Preparation and Alignment: Meet with the facilitators beforehand to ensure their workshop is well-marketed, fits our Culture First Framework (Welcome, Connection, Work, Action, Close), is engaging and interactive, doesn't include overt self-promotion, and aligns with our mission to create a better world of work.
First Session Feedback: Attend the facilitator's first session, ensure the hosting chapter sends out the feedback form to attendees, and offer additional feedback to the facilitator to ensure a high-quality attendee experience.
Role of the Chapter Lead:
Scheduling and Promotion: Reach out to the facilitator with a few dates/times you are looking to host and publish the event on Bevy. Promote the workshop within the chapter and ensure adequate attendance. Consider creating a social media graphic that you and the facilitator can share out as well.
Event Support: Kick off the event by stating our community’s purpose and principles. Assist the facilitator with logistical needs and ensure the workshop runs smoothly. Consider if they need tech support during the session.
Feedback Collection: Distribute and encourage the completion of feedback forms by attendees either at the workshop or in the post-event follow-up email.
3. Financial Rules and Reimbursement Process 💰
Chapters Budget Allocation: Each chapter has a quarterly budget of $600 for hosting events.
Facilitator Payment: Facilitators are compensated at a rate of $300 per chapter event that hosts their event. If co-hosted, up to three chapters can combine budgets for a maximum facilitator fee of $900. A facilitator cannot dictate the number of chapters that co-host. If only one chapter wants to host, they cannot say they must co-host with other chapters.
Chapter Leads that are Facilitators: Chapter leads are not paid for hosting their workshop for their individual chapters. They are only compensated when facilitating for other chapters.
Reimbursement Process: Facilitators must submit expense reports with invoices to the finance team within two weeks of the event. It is not on the chapter lead to pay out the workshop facilitator. It is on the facilitator to get reimbursed.
4. Feedback Process 🔄
We want to ensure the facilitators for our workshops stay at the top of their game and are continuing to provide you with value.
Form Distribution: Feedback forms are to be distributed to attendees post-workshop (or during the workshop). This responsibility is on the chapter lead to drive.
Feedback Review: Collected feedback will be reviewed quarterly to identify areas for improvement and inform future workshop offerings.
