“Sometimes you Win, Sometimes you learn.”
Prom was a Big Win!!! You looked amazing Caimans! Thank you ASB and all those who helped!
Winning= You win the Championship. You get the Scholarship or Job. You're Accepted into your Dream College. You tryout and make the team. You are asked out on a date by that special someone. This is when things seem to just be going the way you want them to. We all want to win! It feels good to Win!
Learning= We lose the BIG game. We get fired. We get dumped! We get in trouble. We say or do the wrong thing and we offend somebody. Maybe we are the one who is offended or hurt by the actions of others?
These are moments to Grow!!! These are moments to Learn! It is when life gets hard in our most challenging moments when we can do the things we never thought possible. We can turn a loss, a failure, or even a very painful circumstance into a success by our response and our attitude! This is when we grow! This is when we learn!
I have seen a lot of Winning and a lot of Learning this past week Caimans! I’m proud of you!
Celebration of Learning- We need another BIG WIN Caimans! We look forward to seeing you on campus for your assigned day/s of testing and for our after testing Celebration!
-You are LOVED + BELONG 🐊♥️♥️♥️

CAHS Counseling News
The Counseling Team is here for students and their families to assist all your academic needs, provide you with college and career resources and to support your social and emotional needs.
Your Counseling Team
The Counseling Team is downsizing. Our beloved Mrs. Mauhili is taking off to the plains of Texas and is excited to enjoy all the area has to offer for her and her family. She will be greatly missed and has made a tremendous impact on the department and with the many students she has served throughout her ten years with CAHS.
With some restructuring of programing, the team will hold strong with Mrs. Laura Brown and Mrs. Karen Withem. Please take note of the alpha change. You may be reassigned to another counselor.
Laura Brown, Counselor (Students last names A-L)
Karen Withem, Counselor (Students last names M-Z)

Free Transit Passes for Students - Unlimited Rides on Bus, Trolley, COASTER & SPRINTER
SANDAG's Youth Opportunity Transit Pass allows anyone 18 and under to ride San Diego transit (bus, trolley, Coaster, and Sprinter) for free for the next 14 months starting on May 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. There are several ways children and families can take advantage of this opportunity, such as using their existing online bus pass or getting a hard copy card through SANDAG.
In order to take advantage of the free pass, riders must have a Youth PRONTO app account or card. For riders who already have a pass, the rides will automatically be free starting May 1, 2022. Riders who do not have a Youth PRONTO pass may either download one on a smartphone or pick up a free card from the MTS Transit Store, NCTD Customer Service Centers or select community organizations. For more information, visit the SANDAG website.
