Drop in The Ocean (DITO) is a student-driven and led environmental group that strives to establish sustainability as a CIS school value through systematic change, community dialogue and education. As quoted from our school’s objectives to “serve as environmental advocates through the school’s practice and curriculum”, we aspire to be leaders and agents of change. By collecting hard data from our comprehensive sustainability audit, Footprint aims to educate and harvest the spirit of sustainability within the CIS community.

Our goal
Mission Statement: From Footprint to blueprint, we are committed to promote tangible reforms and develop sustainable, active, permanent change towards Vision'33.
Future Footprint Initiatives: Establish Sustainability Council, implement recommendations from audit findings, create two-way dialogue for all school stakeholders
Expectations
Footprint will be split into two core groups: Action and Communications Team with flexibility:
Action: Pivots to action on campus by pitching proposals and developing long-term projects in reflection of the recommendations and roadmapping from the ongoing sustainability audit.
Future Action plans include: Sustainable Paper Campaign, Chartwells Proposals and Solar Rooftop Funding, Footprint events/ salons/ workshops/ labs
Communications: Communicate data from sustainability audit in order to raise awareness and encourage behavioural change, create social media presence to engage audience and two-way dialogue through DITO’s social media platforms
Future Comms Plans: Art Installation, Interactive Map, Billigunal Sustainability, Block 0 Design Competition

Bilingual translation in Chinese and English
Graphics/ illustration
Video-editing for Communications team would be preferable but not necessary for application
