The CIS Commercial Production Group (CPG) was created in 2015 by a group of CIS students passionate about filmmaking and social causes. Recognizing that many charities in Hong Kong face the problem of underfunding and a lack of online exposure, CPG is a non-profit organization that aims to make free quality videos for NGOs across Hong Kong, so that they can share their work, stories, and missions.
Our projects include promotional videos for non-profit organisations closely related to the CIS community. CPG has worked with several charities such as Mission for Migrant Workers, Free Clinic, Drop in the Ocean, and more. The group has also contributed to the school community by producing promotional videos that showcase aspects of student life such as community service and co-curricular activities. CPG also engages with the local community through events such as the Film Lab, which provides film workshops for underprivileged students.
Last year, we established CPG as a service- providing local and sustained action that meets with the students at Changing Our Lives Foundation weekly, challenging our members to produce creative content with the goal of creating a positive impact on our community. . You can choose to be apart of whichever branch you'd like- But we encourage you to take part in all of them. During the COVID-19 period, CPG will be hosting online service sessions and offering our services remotely for groups such as HandsOn Hong Kong, MFMW and so on.
Our goal
To serve local charitable organizations in Hong Kong by providing our video making services, bringing communities closer and lifting spirits during these challenging times through the artistic visual medium of film.
Expectations
We have weekly meetings to go over or plan upcoming projects, events and provide a collaborative space for people working on existing CPG projects.
There are 3 branches under CPG that you can be apart of:

Time: Every Saturday (1-3pm)
