Two organized concert performances will be conducted at a medium-sized venue each year for the Migrant Workers Choir to showcase their talents and hard work.
Employers are invited to join.
Chances to perform at local events around the year which further builds their self-esteem and benefits their mental health.
One of our main projects this year is to hold a large art exhibition open to the Hong Kong public in order to further our mission and provide a platform for the migrant workers to share their perspectives.
We will be collecting stories from the migrant workers of the CIS community in order to shed an authentic light on their lives.
Stories told from the migrant worker perspective portrayed in any creative medium (e.g. short stories, articles, poems, paintings, photographs, podcasts, spoken word pieces, short films, sculptures, etc)
A student-written children’s storybook will be published and distributed at a local bookstore in order to teach respect and empathy for the migrant worker community to a young audience.
A short video documentary will be created each year to raise awareness of needs within the community.
For internal purposes, this will allow for more recruits in the future years which causes a positive feedback loop.
Social media management on Facebook and Instagram will reach out to larger audiences and promote the various types of advocacy this service group achieves.
By including a blog that allows for a wide range of content, this additional platform will solidify the service group and pave way for further development of our goals in advocating for a better quality of life for migrant workers.
