I wake to loud screaming. Very loud screaming. Hearing the clear sound of it unnerves me.
I plug my ears as my eyes adjust to the dim light of the room and groan as I sit up. I guess, that from the perspective of someone standing outside the room, it’s just a curved, 3D, about 10 by 10 feet metal square. From my claustrophobic perspective, as the one inside the room, it’s a very small death trap. With no windows.
I notice all of that immediately. Connected to that, just to be clear, it’s not my bedroom. It’s surprising to not wake up in one’s room when you remember falling asleep in it.
No windows windows windows. No windows. Closer. The walls. Closer. No. Not possible.
The screaming. This screaming is not normal screaming. It’s extremely high pitched and is also shaking the walls, floor, and ceiling. But I don’t feel any pain, which is odd.
The source of the infernalness is humanoid in figure, laying in the middle of the room, curled on its side. It has vertically symmetric dark green markings across it’s pale chest and face.
The walls are kind of starting to freak me out. They’re sort of scary and I really do think they’re moving, if only slightly. And there’s light that seems to be seeping through the dark grey. The starting point for the light is directly behind me, and it’s slowly crawling towards the creature.
The walls are closing in. Closer. Closer. Walls coming closer. Slowly closer.
The thing is wearing long, black jeans, and a simple pink headband to hold back it’s long, dark green hair.
The screaming is getting louder. It’s about to burst my eardrums. I cover my ears and glare at the creature. It finally looks back at me and closes it’s mouth to stop screaming.
Whyyyyy arrrrrr yoooooou heeeeeere? The walls are heeeeeere. Whyyyyyyy?
“Do you know why we’re here? How I got here?” I whisper at it. I’m sure it can’t hear my whispering, but I don’t care enough to say anything any louder.
Walls walls walls. You can’t ignore the walls. Waaaaay too many walls. Not too many walls. Loud scream. Good. Great. Great.
“Cause I’m having a weird day. It's absolutely horrendous. I don’t know where I am. And can you stop screaming please? It’s loud. Really loud.” I look at it, inquiring, after whispering my question. “I bet it will make your throat feel better.” I pause. “Are you having fun screaming? Wait, did I already comment on your screaming? Yes. Oops. Really though, can you quiet down a bit? Do you know where we are? Wait, you can’t answer, because you’re screaming.”
It looks up at me. It’s eyes are black. Completely black. Twin pools of nothing. Nothing at all. Noooo thing. Nope. Nothing.
Then it disappears.
Just like that. Gone. Goodbye. No more noise. See you later. Bye for now. Food.
Water. Need food. And water. Wall. Wall wall wall. Haha waaaaaall.
The walls are really starting to freak me out. I mean, are they honestly coming closer?
I fall asleep.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wake up and stare into the eyes of the thing above me. I scream and scramble back until I hit one of the walls. I look at the blob in front of me.
As was said, it’s a blob. It’s plain and dark blue, about the size of a basketball. It’s also has vertical, skinny, light green, murky eyes. The thing also has a vertical mouth.
And it’s bobbing up and down in the air. Floating in the air.
It looks back at me as I stare, and grins by stretching out its mouth as far as it can go, which is about six inches.
Walls are coming in. Ignore them. Water and food. Ooooh food! Stretchy mouth. Moving walls. Stretch and moving. Mouth and walls. Stretch and moving.
“I’m Lexus!” it sings out, and grins, it’s voice playful. “Lexus Lexus is name. Yes it, yes it, yes it is!! I am 204 years! I am man! I have green eyes! I have- OH MY GOD I HAVE NO HAIR!!!!” Lexus shoots around the room, screaming, but stops when he sees the only thing I’m doing is looking at the walls.
“You have to smile or I’m gonna die!!” He then wails pathetically. “Please please please smile.” He whimpers once. “For me?”
Ok, what is with these walls? They have got to stop, I don’t know, moving? Are they really moving? And what is with this... blob... thing? It's creepy.
“Umm... ok.” I whisper, smiling slightly, hiding my fear of him, and my discomfort of being forced to obey, thanks to the fear.
Strange. Strange blobby blob man. Lexus Lexus is his name. Ermm... creepy. Creeeeeepy. Walls and Lexus.
“Pasta pasta is so good! Pasta pasta is so fine! I can eat it all the time! Hehe. All.
The. Tiiiiiime! Passsssta!” Lexus exclaims, bouncing around through the air. After about a minute of watching him sing about pasta, a medium sized bowl of it appears, floating, right in front of him.
The weird thing about the noodles is that they are green. The bowl is short and rounded, with a sort of wave pattern on the sides. The noodles have no smell, which I think is a bit weird, but then again, they’re green, so anything’s possible.
“Um... Pasta? And it’s... green?” I ask quietly, inquiring to why he has it, and why it’s green. I’m staring hungrily at the food, just realizing that I haven’t eaten anything in a long time.
Pasta! Yes! Food! Hahaha food! No, walls. No walls. Food eat food. Eat eat eat. Food food food. Eat eat eat. Walls. Hehehe foooood. Hehehe waaaaalls. NO. No walls.
“Yes Yes!! Pasta is good. Very good.” When Lexus first said good his eyes got dark and widened. His voice also got a threatening sound to it. “Eat.” The same thing happened with the word ‘eat’ as well.
“O-oh,” I say, shocked at his tone of voice, but more than happy to have food. “O-okay.” I cautiously walk towards him and pick up some of the noodles with my hand to put them in my mouth, tilting my head back so they don’t fall out.
“Time to go! Come on Frost!” Lexus yells this out just as I put the noodles in my mouth. That, combined with the fact that the noodles are horrible, are why I start choking.
Go? Go where. Away from walls. Name. My name. Lexus knows. Evil. Nice. Evil. Nice. Evil. Nice. Food and water. Walls. Name.
I’m still choking when my surroundings change slightly. The ceiling gets taller and becomes a more of a light gray then a dark gray.
I stop choking. The ceiling is still changing, but I’m staring at Lexus in shock, so I don’t notice that much.
“You know... my name?” I ask this hesitantly, thinking about what else he could know. “Lexus... how much do you know about me?”
He knows my name! But the walls. Oh. My God. He knows my name. Hahahahahahaha.
“Hahahaha!... haha... ha. Ha. Hahaha.” Lexus grins at me by stretching out his mouth again, and I immediately know something's wrong in his head. That’s because of the way he looks at me. It’s... to put it simply, scary. “I know lots of things. Including the fact that you have auditory hallucinations. Also known as... Voices.” Lexus giggles.
“I. Do. Not.” I say weakly, gasping a little, trying to hide the truth.
Yes you dooooo. You do do do do! Waaaaaalls! Waaaaaalls! Waaaaaalls! Bad noodles.
I’m not really surprised he knows though. I mean, I’m in an enclosed metal room where there was a strange human-like creature, there’s a blob now, and the room is... growing? ‘Ever so slightly’ getting taller.
Lexus giggles at me a bit more. “You do too. No lying to yourself!”
Yes! Speak! Speak your mind! About... the walls. Speaaaaaaak.
“I’m not lying to myself!! I told you I don’t hear them and that means I don’t! Got it?!” Lexus looks at me, unbelieving, and starts to speak.
“Okaaaay, if you really say so.” He does something that resembles a pout. “We still have to go now.”
We have to go go go. Away from the walls. Up up up. We will fly up! The walls are closer. “Go? Go where?”
“Over...” Lexus drags out the ‘over' as he shoots across the room. “Here!”
I follow at a considerably slower pace and stand about four feet away from Lexus. “Uh, Lexus? Do you know... how to get out of here?”
Lexus looks at me for a second, once again as though he doesn’t believe me. Then he rushes at me and squeals right next to my ear. “Of course I do! Why did you think I didn't know how?!"
I push him away, hard, thinking of how close he got to me, and what he knows.
"Honestly, you seemed really... stupid. Sorry.” I pause, then smile angelically at him. “And, by the way... you still do." He does something that resembles a glare and starts to speak.
“You-”
“So? How do you get out?” I cut him off because he’s getting annoying, and I also don’t want to get verbally beaten up by a blob.
Beaten by a blob. Blobby blob man. Blobby blob man and walls.
It’s my turn to glare because Lexus replies with “Oh no, I can’t tell you that!” and a smile.
I do glare at him, and he bobs around the room, alternating between acting like he doesn’t care, and shooting me fearful glances, like I’m gonna attack him.
“Hey! Lexus!” I catch his attention, slightly loud. “Why won't you tell me?”
“Because I’m not allowed to.” I start at this, cause who in the world would Lexus be conversing with besides me, and maybe his green pasta?
“Who says?”
“Someone.”
Someonnnnnnne. Someonnnnnne. Someonnnnnne. Someone knows something about yooooooou. Heh, Lexus.
“Who?”
“Someone.”
“Who, Lexus?” Lexus giggles at this and I look at him strange, then hiss my question again. “Who? Is? It?”
I sit back to glare at Lexus and wait for an answer. Three minutes later he looks at me and says “you” with a giggle.
Oooooh you did it. Don’t forget the walls. They told him to do it. They did.
I lunge across the room, teeth bared, ready to hurt Lexus, just for saying that. I never would have thought that he would say I made him not tell. If anything, I would have thought I
would tell him to never have me here in the first place. Well, at least I think he has something to do with me being here.
He violently bobs up and down once and and I am stopped, teeth still bared.
"Frost, I can't tell you and I never will. So let it go.” He giggly voice is gone and it is replaced with a cold one.
“H-how did you stop me?” I’m scared that he could do something worse. I’m still stuck in the same position, but I can move my face, my mouth.
“Hehe. I can do whatever I want in this room. I can make things appear, and I can make things disappear. I can control people, and even the room itself. Anything you can imagine.” The giggly voice is back.
Anyyyyyything? What about the waaaaaalls? Nooooo. You can’t do thaaaat. Hehe.
The room starts closing in. I start hyperventilating, flicking my eyes around the room, fast.
“St-stop. Stop i-it! Stop!!” When the room gets to be about 7 feet by 7 feet in size I flip out, screaming and shutting my eyes, tight.
“Don’t woooooorry! I won’t put it farther than that!!” His voice overrides my screaming and I quiet down, eyes still shut..
“St-stop i-it. Please.” I surprise even myself when I say please. It’s rare that I would say that, or anything else of the sort.
“Hehe. You can open your eyes now. The walls are back in place!” I slowly open my eyes only to be met with the walls rushing towards me, fast.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I sit up in bed the minute I wake up. I lean forward, gasping, then I giggle, seeing my huge white room surrounding me..
“I had a horrible nightmare!! A horrible horrible nightmare!!” I screech. “I was acting... normal.” I hiss the word with distaste, my eyes flash, then I giggle again. “What do
you think, Frosty friend?”
Niiiiiiiiightmaaaaaares arrrrrr baaaaaaad. Bad bad. Bad. Hehe.
